Course Descriptions

The Pre-Master’s for Master of Accounting and Finance is a foundational programme designed to equip students with the essential academic, technical, and analytical skills required for successful entry into postgraduate study in accounting and finance. Delivered in English, the programme develops learners’ competence across four core modules: English for Academic Purposes, Study Skills and ICT, Numerical and Statistical Skills, and Introduction to Financial Reporting. Students will build core knowledge in accounting principles, financial statement interpretation, and statistical methods, while enhancing their academic writing, ICT proficiency, and critical thinking. Emphasis is placed on understanding the regulatory framework, ethical principles, and use of international standards such as IFRS. Upon successful completion of 120 contact hours, students will be well-prepared to progress into a Master’s-level programme with the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in advanced academic and professional settings.

ENTRY CRITERIA

General Criteria

25 years old, completion of a related Level 5 qualification, and 7 years of relevantexperience (of which 3.5 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level5 qualification) OR? 25 years old, completion of a related Level 6 qualification, and 6 years of relevantexperience (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 6qualification)
