The International Institute for Professional Development (IIPD) began its journey as the International Centre for Career Development (ICCD) with a humble start—19 students, two classrooms, one permanent faculty member (the co-founder), and two part-time lecturers. From its inception, ICCD focused on delivering quality education, gaining approval for several certificate programs from the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA).
With this approval, ICCD expanded its academic offerings to include the Cambridge International Diploma in Business and English Language courses. As student enrollment increased, the institute experienced steady growth in both faculty and infrastructure.
In 2009, ICCD relocated to a larger campus and was rebranded as the International Institute for Professional Development (IIPD), reflecting its evolution from a career development center to a full-fledged professional development institute. IIPD operates under the umbrella of Mianz Pvt. Ltd., continuing the legacy and vision of its founding organization.
The name “IIPD” was officially approved by Margareta Funder, Manager of ITC, marking a significant milestone in the institute’s transformation. Further strengthening its academic portfolio, IIPD became a franchise of Aptech Computer Education, India’s largest training organization, leading to the establishment of an additional IT education campus in Malé.
Today, IIPD stands as a testament to Mianz’s commitment to quality education, professional excellence, and continuous growth.
